The US Open is underway, and adidas is celebrating the fabled Grand Slam event with a vibrant “Tennis Ball” version of a court shoe of a different sort, the D Lillard 2. The shoe’s unique design draws inspiration from the neighborhood Oakland tennis courts where a young Dame and his childhood friends would gather to play. He wore the shoe on stage this past July in Portland, performing under the guise of burgeoning rapper Dame DOLLA, and now the model has made it to store shelves. Specifically, Foot Locker’s 34th Street location in New York City, where’s it’s available exclusively for $105.
