It’s been 15 years since adidas Originals opened their flagship store in Berlin, and to commemorate the landmark, the brand with the Three Stripes has commissioned a metaphorical love letter to the city in the form of a limited edition sneaker: the EQT Guidance Berlin “Icke-T.”
Drawing on Berlin’s history for the silhouette, the shoe features the Berlin bear coat of arms prominently on the heel, while the insoles also include local nomenclature such as “WATTN DITTE” (“WHAT’S THAT”) AND “ICKE-T BERLIN.” The upper is kitted out in premium nubuk leather and reflective stripes, before being finished with light tan suede and red accents — the official colors of Berlin.
