BEAMS and Vans will link up to create an inverse version of one of the popular motifs the brand has ever created. Releasing in April, take a look at the BEAMS x Vans Slip-On Reverse Checkerboard.
As the name of the shoe suggests, this collaboration takes the classic Slip-On model and utilizes the checkerboard pattern in a way we’re not used to seeing it in. Instead of placing it on the shoe’s upper, they place it inside on the lining. In other words, the design is flipped. Keeping the “flipped” theme of the shoe going, additional features include the off-White canvas upper, the flipped back red heel branding, and the reverse outsole so that the indents usually found on the gum outsole are raised. The shoe will retail at ¥8,500 JPY (approximately $75 USD), Look for these at BEAMS Harajuku beginning April 1st.
