adidas are definitely doing their bit for the environment and news of this eagerly-anticipated release confirms it.
The sportswear giant has teamed up with Parley for the Oceans, an organisation who looks to eliminate threats to the Earth’s oceans to give their Uncaged silhouette an eco-friendly Boost (pun intended).
This isn’t the first time they’ve worked together though, last year they unveiled a nameless silhouette madecompletely from recycled plastic ocean waste.
Coincidentally, that model heavily resembled the adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged even then- Boost sole and all! Were adidas planning on an Ultra Boost Uncaged silhouette from then?
Truth be told, they couldn’t have chosen a better silhouette than the Triple White Uncaged. It takes much of its features from its counterpart including adidas’s signature Primeknit upper, Boost sole, extended sock-like ankle and Continental outsole.
The only major change here is the heel counter has been removed and replaced by recycled plastic salvaged from the ocean with what appears to be ocean waves embossed on it.
Lastly, this shoe is finished off with a Parley heel tab so you can wear these sneakers with pride knowing you’re contributing to saving the planet – what better excuse to buy a pair of trainers?
Unfortunately there’s no information about when the Parley x adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged will be available for general release.
