After a stellar collaboration with adidas last month, German sneaker shop Solebox has just announced its followup. Partnering with ASICS, next week will see the release of an incredibly futuristic Solebox GEL-Lyte III that they’ve dubbed the “Blue Carpenter Bee.”

Named for an Australian insect of the same name, the sneakers pay homage to their influence with a metallic black full nubuck upper. The tongue is an electric blue made from microsuede, and the lateral side of the shoes are underlaid with a grid in homage to the carpenter bee’s wings. The Solebox logo is present on a reflective heel as well as the partly translucent outsole.

The shoes go on sale April 30 on Solebox.com and the physical Solebox stores in Berlin and Munich.
